Scrapbooking Knobs

Thanks to a really nice lady named Laura I am about to get these really beautiful knobs for my kitchen cabinets. Last month Laura posted that she was changing out the knobs in her home for new ones. The funny thing about it was that the knobs she didn't like were my dream knobs. I kid you not. When Marc and I built our home 15 years ago we said we would buy knobs, of course that never happened in part because there are so many things you need for a new home that the knobs went on the back burner. My dream kitchen has always been white cabinets with gold knobs and granite counter tops. In the past few months we have been making small changes to the house. The plan next year is to finally paint my cabinets and replace the vinyl floor and countertops. When I told Laura she offered the knobs to me ( only cost to me was for shipping....that's a lot of knobs and I am sure they weigh a ton).
You may ask what this has to do with scrapbooking ? Honestly, if it wasn't for my interest in scrapbooking I would never have met Laura. Not sure if you have ever been to her blog but she has some awesome layouts. She has been featured in several scrap magazines and was one of the finalist in the MM Idol contest last year. She has two adorable girls and offers daycare in her home. Most of the children have been the subjects for some of her best pages. I first came into contact with her work while blog surfing. Over the last year I have commented on her blog from time to time and we have even corresponded by email. When I told Marc about the knobs he just shook his head. He is continually amazed by the friendships I have formed on-line. To tell you the truth I am amazed myself. Mostly I just feel blessed to have met ( even if only on-line ) so many wonderful women.
