Royal Wedding Watch Party

From the moment I found out Prince Harry would be getting married, I knew I would be planning a Watch Party. I have always been fascinated by the royals, and still remember to this day when Princess Diana married Charles. I did a watch party when Prince William married Kate so I had to do the same for Harry! The icing on the cake was the fact that he was marrying an American Bi-facial woman, so as a sister I had to show my support!

I started with a few DIY projects. This tiered rack was black, but with just a bit of spray paint I transformed it into this beautiful gold specimen.

I also painted a vase and a plain plain open glass picture frame (if you only knew how many times I prayed over that frame asking God not to let me break the glass). LOL

I also searched the internet looking for some free printable's, just like I did for William and Kate's wedding. Thank goodness for Pinterest! I found this lovely design by Michelle of the Purple Pumpkin blog.

Gold chargers and my star plates I found years ago for Will and Kate's wedding .

Labels that I used on my party favors (Werther's candy)

Napkin rings

A close up of the invite. Isn't it just the perfect theme for this wedding celebration?

Menus included a "proper" (well to the best of my ability lol) English Breakfast consisting of bacon, sausage, eggs, tomatoes, toast and baked beans. I also did a few tea sandwiches because I knew it would be a long day of wedding watching. LOL

I had every intention of playing Bingo and coloring my Meghan and Harry coloring page but our family got so caught up in the wedding we forgot. That's when you know you are having a good time!

Centerpiece

My nod to good old Southern Hospitality.

I had soo much fun creating this!!

At the end of the day I kept reflecting on how nice it was to see so many people (from every walk of life) celebrating this young couples day. Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from a commoner on the other side of the pond! May your marriage be blessed!!!
