Bridal Shower

I got the opportunity to help a friend with the wedding shower for her daughter. The beautiful bride to be did a great job planning what type of shower she wanted (I can't wait to see what she comes up with for the wedding). She wanted it simple and very low key. She made simple floral centerpieces that were used in the eating area as well as the gathering area.

Simple games that she lead herself!

Cute favors that were given away at the end of the day!

The cupcake dress was gorgeous!

The caterer fixed a simple brunch but I fell in love with the way she set up her yogurt bar. I will be stealing this idea. As a matter of fact I have already picked up the heart dishes from the dollar tree.

Looking at this you wouldn't know its made of a bed sheet and a roll of tulle!

The chalkboard sign and the popsicle sticks to write your reply on was too cute.

So was the napkin holders that her friend created. They were mini forks and spoons on a ring.

The menus was simple yogurt, muffins, quiche, and fruit cups.

Fresh orange juice, tea and a coffee punch.

A close up of the napkin rings.

A great tip for brides (or anyone hosting a party) is to have the guest right their address on an envelope so that when you get ready to send a thank you note you can just slip it in the already addressed envelope.

My friend Priscilla and I helped a lot with the set up of the party and added our own special touch with this beautiful creation that greeted guest as they entered the clubhouse.

The most memorable portion of this day was the words of wisdom from women of every age to the future bride. For nearly 2 1/2 hours (if not longer) we sat around laughing, chatting, and discussing what it takes to be a Christian woman in a christian partnership. It was like having church. It was the most beautiful thing I have experienced in some time!
