I haven't scrapped in years! Working in ministry takes up a lot of time. Marc has been a pastor for almost five years. After we really got into it I realized that some things would have to take a back burner. Scrapping has been one of those things. But yet for quite a while I still brought scrap supplies when I would see something I liked. LOL Over the last few years I have learned to incorporate some of my scrapping stuff into the events we host at WABC. No better example of that has been the recent Women's workshop our Women's ministry held last week. I love event planning and I love finding creative ways to decorate with. Including using all of my favorite things to do together (including party planning, scrapbooking and photography). I've decided since this blog is about my "Treasured Creations" I might as well share my "creations".
This is our registration table.
I also have an obsession with dishes!!! LOL
Each lady received a cafe cup. I have found the Dollar Tree to be one of my best resources for buying "stuff" in quantity! And many people don't know you can order in bulk if needed.
Our small fellowship hall made for a great "Cafe"!
I tend to drag everything I own from home if it fits in with a certain theme.
Marc brought these water pitchers for me way back when. I keep two at church so that I can use them at events or for when we cook for Wednesday night bible study (yes, we cook and serve a meal before Wednesday night service). And when I say "we" I mean Marc and I!
For lunch the ladies had a "bag" lunch and sweet tea. And yes, the dispenser is mine. I will be using it again this weekend at a Wedding rehearsal dinner.
Last year I brought a Chocolate fountain just to use at our Women's ministry events. The "Sweet: table was a big hit!!!
One lesson learned...your room can't be too cold or the chocolate will freeze and clog up the mooter.
I stamped T-shirts using some of my scrap supplies. Funny story..I looked high and low at Michaels and AC Moore for stamps related to coffee or a cafe without sucess. So explain why when I got home I found a whole set of coffee stamps in my stash? SMH
I also stamped several aprons that I gave as a gift to ur guest faciliators. Notice I had to make one for myself. LOL
Each lady recieved a workshop folder with their name on it.
Bath and Bodyworks had some great sales going on while I was planning and shopping for the big day. And no they did not give me that many bags. I had those in my recycle stash!!! Yes, I love Bath and Bodyworks! LOL
This weekend the family has a big wedding and then we are spending a few days hanging out with my mom. I will post photos of the wedding "details" when I get back if not before.
