Shout Out!



Nicki has been really sick for over a week. She has pharyngitis (sp). Honestly, I knew this girl was sick when she got up Sunday morning and went to emergency care ( she hates going to the Doctor even more then me ). They sent her home with meds and she was told to rest. Now anyone who knows Nicki knows that this is near to impossible for her to do ( this was the child who couldn't wait to be born and arrived a month early ). The fact that her car has not moved from my driveway is a sure sign. As a little girl Nicki had several bots with bronchitis. We spent months at a time in the emergency room with her. As she got the older the episodes seemed to become less frequent. Most of the time she is like her Dad who may get sick once a year if that. Most of the time when getting sick she was still her Happy go lucky self. She has always been an entertainer, so if she seemed less then herself then you knew she was sick. I saw that girl this weekend ( at one point she even crawled into my bed after Marc left for work...something she has not done since she was a young girl...she is way to independent to admit she needs her Mom ! ). Unless we are having a Super Nanny/Wife Swap Mother and Daughter Night, then both girls can be found at the foot if my bed. She has not been able to keep down food or lift her head up. She was running a low grade favor and at one point I thought we would be going back to the emergency room with her. Yesterday she started showing signs of the old Nicki. Today she even smiled and laughed a bit. The picture is a shout out to her cyber Aunts at Scrap Etc who have been so kind ( praying for her and asking about her each day ). There is one name missing ( sorry Katie ) but we just wanted you all to know that we appreciate you all. If you notice in the pic she is wearing a pink t-shirt..its her scrap etc event shirt (LOL) and you may notice that she has her Disney comforter wrapped around her. We changed her room a few years back, but whenever she has a slumber party with the cousins or sleeps at a friends house that is the blanket she drags along with her. My kids will tell you that they are Disney kids through and through (LOL). Honestly years ago when I first started surfing the web looking for info on Disney I would never have imagined the changes it would bring to my life. The friendships I would have ( I have a group of on-line friends that I have known for over 6 years, some of us have even met in person ) or the outpouring of love from people I have never met. One of the 100 things That Make You Happy from the book that Stacy J used for our class is learn to use the computer. I can honestly say that knowing all of you have added so much value to my life.
