OK, this is my first ever "Scrapjacked" attempt. From the moment I saw this layout I knew it was one I wanted to do. But you would not believe the trouble I have had getting this thing up on the blog. I went through 3 cameras before getting one that had a working battery in it. Its not my best shot because its been cloudy and gray here for the last few days so I could not get good lighting. I love this layout, not just because it has some of my fav. people in it, not just because its from Bama...but because its so me. I loved Stephanie's page....but I knew the pic was going into my album and as much as I would like to win the prize I knew I had to stay true to myself. Scrapbooking is so personal. I love sketches because they bring me inspiration..but even when I use them I try to be as authentic as possible. It does you no good to pour your heart and soul into your work and not have it be a reflection of yourself ( hence the flower in on the page ). I see so many people trying to keep up with the trends and scrap like a certain person. At the end of the day you want your art to be your art. Its a very valuable lesson I learned early on and its one I hope to pass on to others. Be you...no matter what you do, because in the end that is all we have. God made us all unique and individual....share that with others and I guarantee one day you will get why he made you the way you are.
