Project 365

Playing catch up today. Our schedule has just been plain crazy this week!

March 6th
My pics are out of order because I deleted this picture by accident while editing (and frankly I'm to lazy to go back and change it). My poor pocketbook is overflowing with "stuff". That is how busy my life feels at this moment.

March 7th
Marc told me I had a choice between getting my nails done or picking up the additional chairs for my backyard (that I should have gotten last year). You see what I chose (lol). I can get nails anytime. But if I wait on the chairs they may not have them in stock at Sam's the next time. I can't believe they actually had the same chairs anyway.

Thursday March 5th
My bathroom. I have been thinking about going more modern like I did in the kids bathroom , but I love my look so I may keep it.

Wednesday March 4th
I finally took down the Valentines stuff, just in time for a spring tablescape.

March 3rd

I needed a photo of a clock for our church website. Since I can't afford stock photos I use a lot of pictures from my personal files. So far it has worked out pretty good. By the way, don't forget to move those clocks forward one hour ahead on Sunday.

March 1st

This picture is priceless. Marc dedicated his first baby at WABC on Sunday.
March 2nd

Laundry (need I say more)?

Saturday, February 28, 2009

I started a day early. Nicki has a new "friend". Tonight she came home with this cute dog (she asked for the real thing but he gave her the stuffed animal instead). I told her she might have to keep this one (lol).
Staying Alive

I'm still here. Starting tomorrow I'm going to try and get back on track with my 365 photos. Shouldn't be hard since I have a full weekend. Last night though I took a break from cleaning (I've been in that mode all week) and Nicki and I went out with some friends to hear this group. We had the best time. Heard some old negro spirituals and ate a bit of ethnic food. The program I went to was about multiculturalism and they had tables set up with Caribbean, Filipino, Lebanese, Soul Food, and Mexican food. I had plantain for the first time. The offered me some ox tails but I turned it down.......went for the curry chicken instead. Maybe next time....NOT. After the dinner we went out into the lobby to get the groups CD and hung around to get their autographs and some pictures. In the end we didn't get to take pictures with them, but we did take a few of us with friends.

Valentine's Day Weekend

It's been an interesting week. We celebrated Marc's birthday at church (twice) and went to dinner with friends one afternoon after service. The weekend of Valentines Day Marc and I went to a Marriage Conference, went out on a date (to church ) and then went home and watched Fireproof (plus ate a little pizza and sausage). The green phone was a gift from Quisha for Valentines Day. The pocketbooks are from my wonderful husband (and a new leather jacket which I haven't taken a picture of yet). Then yesterday morning I woke up to a light dusting of snow on the ground! Today we finalized plans for our trip to Bama for summer so watch out ladies because here we come (yeah).
365 Update and Marc's Birthday

Wow! I can't believe its been so long since I posted a picture. Life has been crazy busy (between church, Marc's birthday, Valentines Day, Voice Lessons, Bible Study....need I say more?). So I missed a lot. But I thought I would post a marathon of pics from the last few weeks, and just pick up where we left off at the end of the month. Hoping I do better in March! Can you believe its almost March?

January 29th

Nicki was off from work today and decided to experiment with her make-up.

January 28th

We are studying Beth Moore's series Esther on Wednesday mornings.
January 27th

These are the official cups for WABC that one of the members presented to us. Marc loved seeing his name on them.

January 26th

I'm determined to stay ahead of the game today. I snapped this picture of the cornbread I had for breakfast. I have been craving it for weeks and finally pulled out a box this morning to make. See, I do cook sometime. Would you like a piece?

January 25th

We went to dinner at Applebee's after church yesterday. One day I will come home without leftovers. But in the meantime this will make a great snack today.
January 24th

Saturday night Nicki got a visit from some of her college friends. I snapped this picture of her feet. The socks say......"Wild Thing"! That girl is determined to buck this PK (Preacher's Kid) thing (lol)! But honestly......she really is a good kid, she just has a sparkling personality.

January 23rd

I started decorating for Valentines Day a few years ago when I tried out for a DT Call. This year I have extended it into my kitchen. The Christmas tablecloth is still on the table because I haven't found a tablecloth that I like. After the holidays I am hoping to pick up a few Valentines items on clearance. And can you believe Easter stuff is out already?

January 22nd

My schedule has been so crazy that I can't even keep up. This should have been Thursday's picture. Only problem is that I'm so busy juggling church, home and personal time that I never got a chance to take a picture (well until today. But this would have been the picture if I had taken one)!

January 21st

I'm taking a voice class with Nicki at our adopted church in preparation for starting a worship team at WABC. My question is....do we get college credits for this (lol).

January 20th

I spent today at church with my daughters, watching our nation swear in its first African American President.

January 19th

I spent Monday watching the news, watching as our nation prepared to install our 44th President.

January 18th

A gift from one of our church members. I will be wearing it Tuesday at our Inauguration celebration.

January 17th

We played photographers again this weekend. To bad we have a day job (lol).
January 16th

Baby, its cold outside. The temp inside says 80 degrees. But outside that day it was in the lower 20's. I don't know how my Canada friends make it!
January 15th

Thank goodness for this little machine. She is a hard worker.

January 14th

This is the second thing you do when your computer acts up. I'm close to finishing my 25 Day album. Its been fun scrapping. Sort of releases all of the tensions that build up when you are busy with ministry.

January 13th

So what happens when your computer acts up? You read a good book. My cyber friend Lori's husband wrote it. He is a pastor at a great church in Las Vegas. Yes, you heard me right...God's love even dwells in Sin City! Jud calls it something different though, and after reading this book I have a new appreciation for "Grace City" and the "real" people who live there. Which is funny because it reminds me of where we minister. That is why I love the motto at WABC. It's " A Real Church, Serving the Real God, Reaching Out to Real People, to Effect Real Change.

January 12th

So this is the reason I haven't been on much. I'm having a love/hate relationship with my computer. Seems that little black cord in the back needs to be replaced ( I thought it had crashed)! Just when I thought I could talk hubby into a Mac (lol).

January 11th

The plans for the church came in.

January 10

The reason the decorations came down was in part because Quisha played babysitter today. Man its been a long time since we have had an active little one in the house (notice the twin Elmo's were even tired after she left). No, the Elmo's didn't go home with the baby. They belong to us (lol). My house is not baby proof by any stretch of the imagination. So lets just say we did fast work of getting the tree down (lol).

Friday, January 09, 2009

Update: You should have known (lol). The good news is that 50% of the decorations are down!

January 9th

I took a picture (I'm ashamed to say it was of an ornament on my tree...which is still up). Honestly I have a good excuse. My sinuses have been kicking my butt, and the only way to deal with them is to take my meds and call it a day. I slept like a log last night so the Tylenol must have helped. The only problem with that is that I'm tired. As a matter of fact I am so tired that I am too tired to go upstairs in Marc's office and get my chip which I left up there in his computer. I promise I will post it in the morning (just before I take down the decorations)!

January 8th

Hoping this little yellow box will give me the relief I need!

January 7

I thought it was interesting that the scripture I was reading today for the One Year Bible Journey just happens to fall on the same page where the words " Treasures in Heaven" is written (beats Treasured Creations any old day....lol).

Sidenote: I have been trying to not use my flash every time I take a picture. I am hoping that doing this 365 project will teach me something about photography, not to mention something about myself.

January 6th

It's amazing what you can find when you go shopping in your own scraproom. I found more "Christmas" stuff in my scraproom I liked then I did in the stores. Let the scrapping begin!!!!!!

Monday, January 05, 2009

January 5th

Lots of drinking of fluids around here. We all seem to be suffering from sinus pressure and pain. There is more sneezing, sniffling and stuffy heads in my house then should be allowed. So we keep pumping fluids into our bodies as if we have the flu or something!

Sunday, January 04, 2009

January 4th

Our church has decided to keep collecting food for the food bank even though the holidays are over. Times are really tough for people and the food banks are asking for additional donations because they are feeding more families then ever. You might want to check with your local group, they could probably use some help.

Saturday, January 03, 2009

January 3rd

Its not about the decorations (lol). Its about the bag in front of Mr. and Mrs. Claus! My baby girl has been away for a week and is back home safe and sound. Yeah!!!!!!!

Project 365

I really loved doing the 25 day countdown to Christmas, so now that it is the new year I decided to try doing a photo a day. That's 365 days people (wish me luck)!

January 2nd

It was fairly quiet around here last night. Nicki is out of town and Marc had a meeting at church this morning. Que and Trice spent the night away but came in later today and kept me company. I am sure it will be a lot more noisy once the princess returns (lol).

January 1st

Marc and I rang in the new year at church with our family, friends and the members of WABC. We really had a great time. There was lots of singing, eating and a bit of candlelight and noise at the end of the evening (actually that was into the morning because we did not get home until 2 AM).
