New hamper (we still need to get a new curtain rod, a basket to hide the little extras and a new towel bar).
The picture is my very own photography (taken in Chicago) in sepia tone and blown up!
This is my children's very grown up new bathroom (that is what they said after we were done). The girls and I spent the weekend updating the upstairs bathroom which honestly was in a sad state. We have been in our home for over fourteen years. It was built to my specifications ( I literally sketched out for the builder where I wanted the rooms and he took it from there). Over the years the bathroom has had a Disney theme (of course), to a very beautiful blue sponge painted look (not) with peeling wallborder. I had planned to redo it like forever, but something would always get in the way. Mostly life, which is no excuse but this morning I looked around and realized how much my poor little home has been neglected. I remember when we first moved in how often Marc and I walked around in disbelief that we actually owned a home. This home. I even remember telling the kids not to wear shoes when entering. Of course now the carpet needs replacing and the flat painted walls need updating. Which brings us right back to the bathroom. Honestly, I don't know what took me so long to do this. I love the finished results, and now I can't wait to move onto the next room. Saturday the girls and I went and picked up 6 gallons of paint in various colors. The salesman couldn't believe we were ordering so much. Quisha is painting her room a cool shade of purple, my hallway and stairwell will be painted a soothing creme, and my front door and shutters will be a beautiful deep blue. There is so much I want to do to the house.
When I first created this blog I thought only in the terms of scrapbooking ( I still have a blog for my family and close friends where I share the vents in my life ), but this blog has turned into a place where I can share my creative side.....My Treasured Creations!

Looks great! I love those colors!
How pretty. I am about to use similar colors in a bathroom. I found pretty aqua and brown towels for my inspiration. I want to paint the walls a blue just a little lighter than you used.
