Christmas Decor 2020

Did not realize how long its been since I posted here. I guess 2020 kind of stifled my creativity. There were no birthday parties or Fourth of July or Church diners to decorate for during Covid. I almost didn't even decorate for Christmas, but decided to do a more modest version at the last minute (yes I was one of the few people that didn't decorate early).

Christmas dinner was just Marc and I.

My plan was to wrap all of our Christmas gifts in this paper but the girls gifts were so big I was worried I would run out of paper. So the only gift wrapped in buffalo plaid was a "decoration. LOL

My end table that always gets decorated.

My small collection of lanterns. Hoping to get some bigger ones next year for the front porch. I would like to go all out next year. Time will tell if that actually happens. I have learned to give myself some grace when things don't go as plan. Which is a big deal for this planner girl.

Instead of a wreath this year I put my Santa Claus painting over the mantle. I think it turned out pretty good. If you would like to see the process for decorating my mantle you can check out my video on YouTube here. I did do a wreath but its hanging in my foyer.

Dollar tree bells on my step railings.

Am I the only person that displays my gifts after Christmas? I really like how my tree turned out this year. You can see my process as to how I decorated it here

This is my most versatile Tree skirt. I have had it for years.

My Christmas village, which I am already planning to expand next year LOL. I show you how I came to the decision to do a snow village rather then my original plan here

A different view of the stair railings.

I love my gallery wall. Its mostly Disney items (I sure hope we get a chance to add additional Disney trip pictures in the future). The fur pillows I've had a few years. The tassel pillows were from Target a few years back and this year I added the buffalo plaid blankets from Five Below. The "Be Merry" pillow I've had forever so I don't recall where it came from. Christmas was definitely different, a little sad because I didn't get to spend it with my family but we made it through and I just kept telling myself to look forward to 2021. After the last few years I could do with a calm year. Crossing my fingers and praying that this year will be just that.
