Tuesday Scrap Bread:

Yesterday was a rough day , so I didn't get to my picture of the day until now, but even in the midst of chaos and confusion I found a way to acknowledge the day and make it memorable. My Scrap Bread for today is : Sometimes flowers bloom among weeds. Life is that way also. Maybe if we learn to "flourish" among the "weeds" of life we might actually "grow".


So what does a girl do when she's having a bad day ? She goes window shopping ! Of course the lesson learned should probably be to not go into JC Penney's . Why ? In part because I am a hat freak. I love hats and purse ( and I happen to look good in them ). So each year when JCPenneys marks their hats down I go a little crazy. So of course I couldn't resist this little white cowboy hat ! It helped a lot that it was only $8.99. The bad part is that now I want to go back and get it in pink and aqua. But the everyday moment is not about spending money on a new hat, but it's actually about spending time with my girls. One of the things we do really good is spending time together at the mall. We hit all of our favorite stores, tried on clothes ( well actually Nicki did ). We browsed Victoria Secrets and stopped to smell the fragrances at Bath and Body Works. My blessing for the day : even though my girls are adults they still love hanging out with old mom. So now each time I wear this hat I won't dwell on all that went bad that day, but what went right.
