January 20th

I spent today at church with my daughters, watching our nation swear in its first African American President.

January 19th

I spent Monday watching the news, watching as our nation prepared to install our 44th President.

January 18th

A gift from one of our church members. I will be wearing it Tuesday at our Inauguration celebration.

January 17th

We played photographers again this weekend. To bad we have a day job (lol).
January 16th

Baby, its cold outside. The temp inside says 80 degrees. But outside that day it was in the lower 20's. I don't know how my Canada friends make it!

Thank goodness for this little machine. She is a hard worker.

January 14th

This is the second thing you do when your computer acts up. I'm close to finishing my 25 Day album. Its been fun scrapping. Sort of releases all of the tensions that build up when you are busy with ministry.

January 13th

So what happens when your computer acts up? You read a good book. My cyber friend Lori's husband wrote it. He is a pastor at a great church in Las Vegas. Yes, you heard me right...God's love even dwells in Sin City! Jud calls it something different though, and after reading this book I have a new appreciation for "Grace City" and the "real" people who live there. Which is funny because it reminds me of where we minister. That is why I love the motto at WABC. It's " A Real Church, Serving the Real God, Reaching Out to Real People, to Effect Real Change.

January 12th

So this is the reason I haven't been on much. I'm having a love/hate relationship with my computer. Seems that little black cord in the back needs to be replaced ( I thought it had crashed)! Just when I thought I could talk hubby into a Mac (lol).

The plans for the church came in.

January 10

The reason the decorations came down was in part because Quisha played babysitter today. Man its been a long time since we have had an active little one in the house (notice the twin Elmo's were even tired after she left). No, the Elmo's didn't go home with the baby. They belong to us (lol). My house is not baby proof by any stretch of the imagination. So lets just say we did fast work of getting the tree down (lol).

Update: You should have known (lol). The good news is that 50% of the decorations are down!

January 9th

I took a picture (I'm ashamed to say it was of an ornament on my tree...which is still up). Honestly I have a good excuse. My sinuses have been kicking my butt, and the only way to deal with them is to take my meds and call it a day. I slept like a log last night so the Tylenol must have helped. The only problem with that is that I'm tired. As a matter of fact I am so tired that I am too tired to go upstairs in Marc's office and get my chip which I left up there in his computer. I promise I will post it in the morning (just before I take down the decorations)!

Hoping this little yellow box will give me the relief I need!

January 7

I thought it was interesting that the scripture I was reading today for the One Year Bible Journey just happens to fall on the same page where the words " Treasures in Heaven" is written (beats Treasured Creations any old day....lol).

Sidenote: I have been trying to not use my flash every time I take a picture. I am hoping that doing this 365 project will teach me something about photography, not to mention something about myself.

January 6th

It's amazing what you can find when you go shopping in your own scraproom. I found more "Christmas" stuff in my scraproom I liked then I did in the stores. Let the scrapping begin!!!!!!

January 5th

Lots of drinking of fluids around here. We all seem to be suffering from sinus pressure and pain. There is more sneezing, sniffling and stuffy heads in my house then should be allowed. So we keep pumping fluids into our bodies as if we have the flu or something!

January 4th

Our church has decided to keep collecting food for the food bank even though the holidays are over. Times are really tough for people and the food banks are asking for additional donations because they are feeding more families then ever. You might want to check with your local group, they could probably use some help.

January 3rd

Its not about the decorations (lol). Its about the bag in front of Mr. and Mrs. Claus! My baby girl has been away for a week and is back home safe and sound. Yeah!!!!!!!

Project 365

I really loved doing the 25 day countdown to Christmas, so now that it is the new year I decided to try doing a photo a day. That's 365 days people (wish me luck)!

January 2nd

It was fairly quiet around here last night. Nicki is out of town and Marc had a meeting at church this morning. Que and Trice spent the night away but came in later today and kept me company. I am sure it will be a lot more noisy once the princess returns (lol).

January 1st

Marc and I rang in the new year at church with our family, friends and the members of WABC. We really had a great time. There was lots of singing, eating and a bit of candlelight and noise at the end of the evening (actually that was into the morning because we did not get home until 2 AM).

Happy New Year. After much thought my word for 2009 is "Live"!

Live life to the fullest.
Live my life the way God intended.
Live , Laugh and Love.
Just..........Live!

Christmas 2008

I almost forgot to post our official Christmas photo for 2008! I also wanted to wish all of my scrap friends a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I won't be posting anymore updates here until 2009! Have a great week everyone.
Christmas Wrap Up

My hubby is the bomb! Yes, I said it....I heart Pastor Marc (lol). I got to go shopping for gifts the day after Christmas (may have to make this a tradition). I have always wanted a Christmas Village and boy did I get my wish this year. I have been also eyeing some Christmas plates at Wally World for weeks...well the day after Christmas they were only $7.50 a box! Add in a few Christmas towels, and Christmas ornaments and I was a Happy lady. I can't wait tell next year to decorate (lol). And did I happen to mention that I received my very own star in the sky?

Day 25

Yes! I made it. Merry Christmas everyone! I had the best time counting down the days tell Christmas. I have every intention of putting this in an album, but on the off chance that never happens I at least have the days documented. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I have.
Day 24
We went to NLP last night for the Christmas Eve Service. It was the first time I have ever attended an actual candlelight service. We sang traditional Christmas songs, watched a reenactment of the real Christmas story and listened to a short message of hope, and love. The best part for me was being able to sit with Marc and the girls during the service (something we don't usually get to do on Sundays since Marc is a pastor).
Day 23

Marc and I spent Tuesday night running around to get stuff to make gift baskets for our friends and family. Families with kids got big cans of popcorn with popcorn bowls or a family game. Adults got bath sets (with his and her shower gel, washcloth, lotion, aftershave, handsoap and a soap dispensor). Marc who came up with the idea even made special labels for the bath baskets. Add in a little shrink wrap and a bow and BAM......you have a great (not so expensive) gift.

Day 22

Nicki and I headed to church this morning to put the finishing touches on the gifts for our adopted family and to take pictures of the baskets that will go out to those in need. We have spent less on ourselves this year and have been focusing on giving to others.
